FLXTRA serves as the official deluxe edition to OsamaSon’s December 2023 sophomore mixtape, Flex Musix.
On December 8, 2023, the same day Flex Musix was released, OsamaSon confirmed in a private Instagram group chat that the deluxe would see a release on Christmas day, however that ended up not being the case, as it missed its initial release.
After keeping silent about the deluxe, on January 16, 2023, OsamaSon took to his alternative Instagram page sharing screenshots of six songs confirmed to be on the deluxe.
On January 31 and February 2, 2024, respectively, both HiTechStef, OsamaSons manager, and Stunmic, his designer, both teased the name FLXTRA, confirming the name for the post-flex music project.
Then on February 12, 2024, OsamaSon took to social media announcing that FLXTRA would be releasing on February 16. He would then take to instagram to reveal the deluxe’s artwork and a pre-save link.
